  1. Compared to his first album there's slightly more diverse instrumentation on 'The Iron Gates At Troop and Newport', but Luke Roberts very much remains a lonesome cowboy on the prairy. Slow, very slow stripped-down folk & country songs sung in his instantly recognizable, fragile nasal voice. Lyric-wise these nine songs take a bit less bizarre twists than on his debut and even though I'm not /5(5).
